Sometimes I feel bad that my poor little girl is cooped up in the house so much. During the summer we are outside quite a bit; going to the park, taking walks, swinging, gardening, or just running around the yard. So with the cold weather and a little baby brother, my little girl plays inside a lot. We try to get out to the library every Tuesday but other than that we usually only go to the store, very exciting. So I decided at the end of December (I am a little late at posting about it) we were going to bundle up and go play in the snow.
So Lou finally got to put on all her snow stuff (and looked mighty cute in it) and I put mine on for the first time in a few years and we played in the snow. We even talked Papa into coming out with us.
The bundle in my arms is Callen, he played inside with Grandma while we were out and about.
I was not too prepared for snow playing so we did not have a sled. Luckily, Grandma volunteered one of her Christmas totes that was still empty and found us some string. Yep, we went sledding rez style!!!
We ran around, visited the neighboring horses, and made snow angels. Well, Papa and I made snow angels. Lou wasn't too sure about laying down in snow. However, she had no problem making them on the carpet once we were inside. Even Angel had fun.
We didn't last too long out there, I think it was only 12 degrees or something ridiculous, but we still had fun and my little girl got to play outside. Plus, how fun it is it to wear Mom's boots around back inside?
