Grandpa

The best dads get promoted to Grandpa

Summer fun

Front yard camping

In June, we decided camping with the kids would be fun.  But we know our kids are knew camping would be fun for about 20 minutes.  So we decided to camp in our front yard.  Yes, the front yard, we are that classy. The kids wanted to be able to see Grandma and Grandpa's house while we were camping.

We roasted hot dogs and marshmallows and when it got a little later, we set up a TV and watched Wreck it Ralph.  The kids did have a lot of fun but nobody ended up sleeping outside (are you surprised?).  Maybe we will be brave and really camp next year, or at least stay outside all night.

We built a house

We built a house last year.  We broke ground on August 28, 2012.  We built with Levi Jarvis with Liberty Homes and it was great.  The only problems we had were with Fort Hall for getting our well and septic put in.  Because of the well and septic, we were unable to be in before Christmas but closed on the house and moved in the first weekend in January.  Since then we have put in a yard and completely finished the basement.  So we now have 6 beds, 3 baths, a storage room, and cold storage room.  We love our new house and the memories we are making here!!

Tee Ball

Olivia was able to play tee ball this Summer.  Her and Emrie were on the same team which they thought was pretty neat.  They did more talking to each other than actually playing ball and they may say their favorite part was the treat at the end but I think they still had fun.

Olivia was really shy (surprise surprise) and would not run for the ball.  She told me there were too many other kids that would go after it and she didn't like that.  She hit the ball well though.  She had to use the tee a couple of times, which she really did not like.  We would practice at home a lot which was fun for the whole family.

Best Friends Forever

Olivia and Emrie are best little friends.  They are adorable together.  We are able to have play dates frequently and they always play so good together.
One day before Emrie came over, Olivia wanted to write Emrie a letter.  She told me exactly what to write.

Emerie,
We are best friends. I like to play with you. I like to go to your house. I love to make pictures with you. We love to play outside together. We love to read books together. Best friends will never be apart.
From,
Olivia

They are so stinkin cute.... And I love Callen photo-bombing this picture.

Preschool Graduation

Olivia finished preschool in May.  We loved having her in Mrs. Tammy's class.  She learned a lot, made lots of friends, and had a lot of fun.  Mr. Troy was able to help in Olivia's class.  It was the only class he helped with and the kids loved him.  We would frequently be told about all the funny things Mr. Troy would do.
Olivia was very shy to go across the stage so Mrs. Tammy had to help her.

The kids put on a great little graduation performance singing all their favorite songs and doing little skits.  They had to come say what they wanted to be when they grow up.  Olivia did not actually say her part but Mrs. Tammy helped her say when she grows up she wanted to be a cowgirl.

Congrats Olivia!!! We are so proud of you!!!

Drives at Home Depot

These boys love to drive at stores.  They are getting to be buddies too, which I love.  :)

Cabella's

It seems we can't go on a trip to Hogel Zoo without also making a trip to Cabella's.  It is almost as good as the zoo!!  The kdis love to see all the elk, deer, moose, bears, zebras, and (Callen's favorite) horses.  And mom loves to eat all the yummy fudge there.  But next time, we won't let Olivia pick out pink lemonade fudge.  Even though it looks pretty, it does not taste pretty.

Hogel Zoo

We were able to go to Hogel Zoo the end of April.  We love to visit the zoo and we loved going so early in the year.  The weather was great and the zoo wasn't very busy.

And this year the kids were all old enough to kinda know what was going on.

Olivia's favorite was still the elephant.  We had to visit them twice.

The boys had fun on the carousel.  Carson was really curious as to what was happening but still enjoyed it.  Olivia was set on riding an actual animal but chickened out at the end and rode on the little bench thing.  The second time we rode it, mean mom forced her to sit on one of the animals that doesn't move.  She FREAKED out as we were sitting there but realized once we were moving that it wasn't too bad.  Maybe someday she won't be so afraid of things.

Mom's favorite, and I think the boys' favorite too, was still the seals and polar bear.  We were able to sit and watch them for a long time.

Carson was just getting walking down and thought he was pretty neat when he could go walk with the big kids.

We had lots of fun and I'm sure will be back next year!!
