On July 20th my sweet little girl turned 2!!! I can't believe it!!! She is officially in the terrible twos (but I think she has been there for a few months now). Since Olivia LOVES the Backyardigans, we had a huge Backyardigans bash. We had so much fun!! I even found huge Pablo and Uniqua balloons, which she thought were "pretty cool." They are now hanging on the back of her door and her wall with all the air out and she shows every one them when they come over.

We had a few friends and family over and BBQ one of Lou's favorites, HAM-burgers!!!

Daddy helping Lou blow out her candles. She was able to do it this year!!

The cute Backyardigan cupcakes. Olivia told me she wanted to pink cupcakes and green ice cream so that is exactly what we had. It is great having such an opinionated little girl (that is sarcastic if you can't tell). Abby and Olivia had fun with the cupcakes though. They would take one of the little characters out, each the frosting and the top of the cupcake and then go for another one. They had blue, pink, yellow, orange, and purple frosting all over their cute little faces!!!

Notice they had a different colored cupcake in each picture?? I figured it was her birthday, and the extra sugar is okay for her special day!

Opening presents with Grandma Terri.

Wearing her cute hat from Uncle Brandon.

Olivia had 3 of the Backyardigan characters so for her birthday we got her the last 2 (Tyrone and Tosha). She was so excited to open them!! She opened Tosha first and then it was funny because she knew that Tyrone was in the other present so she started screaming and tearing the present open saying "It's Tyrone in there!!!" It was hilarious!! We also got her a swing set since she loves swinging so much and we don't live close to a park anymore. She was VERY excited for that!!! We now go out almost daily and swing and slide.

Pin the bow tie on Pablo. Abby played (hers is the little bow tie on Pablo's foot) but Olivia would not get out of her swing to play. That's okay, us adults had more fun than I think any of us thought we would. Kind of funny when you get some competitive men (Casey, Casey Humphreys, and Brandon) playing a kid's game, they each had to have 2 turns!! I think my Mom ended up winning though!!!

Overall I think Lou Lou had a fun birthday. A few days after her birthday I asked her what we should name baby brother and she told me "Um... How bout Happy Birthday?" so I am guessing the birthday excitement stuck with her!!!
Happy Birthday Lou Lou!!!! We love you!!!!
