Carson at 4 months

Weight:  14 pounds, 13 ounces (48th percentile)
Height:  25 in. (53rd percentile)
Head circumference:  42.2 cm (48th percentile) 

This month Carson was a big boy and started sleeping in his own room in his own crib.  The first night in his crib was July 13th, 2012.  He did pretty well in there.  However, he doesn't like to sleep EVER, but that is okay.  I have never seen a baby fight sleep as hard as he does.  Carson will be so tired but be trying so hard to keep his eyes open. 

 

Since he doesn't like sleep, he is not a very good napper.  He will take one or two twenty minute cap naps in the mornings and in the afternoons, I have to rock him and sooth him to sleep and he will sometimes take a good three hour nap.  He usually wake up two or three times during those three hours though and has to be soothed back to sleep.

Carson also started waking up in the middle of the night again and needing a bottle.  This is the one time he usually falls asleep fast.  He is half asleep but he guzzles that bottle down at about 3:00 am and then back in bed by 3:45 am. 

This month our Cars-a-roni has discovered his toes and likes to hold on to them when he is laying on his back.  He is awesome in the tub and kicks and plays the entire time. 

 

Olivia and Callen still adore him and Mommy and Daddy think they will be great friends.

Carson also started to stand with support.  

He loves to have anyone hold him and let him stand up.  He also loves when anybody will talk, sing, or just smile at him.  Every time he is given attention he gives the biggest gummy smiles and does the sweetest coos ever.  He is babbling a lot and love to have conversations with people.  He has also started to make these silly noises that sound like a pig grunting, it is very entertaining. 

Carson is still a little cuddle bug and loves to nuzzle his way into anyone that is holding him.
