We are never able to go too far or for too long when we go on family trips. With three kids, one of which does not usually sleep when he is not in his own bed (Callen), it is too hard to do much more than go to Salt Lake for a few days. So that is what we did. Event though we didn't go far, we had a lot of fun. And since I take WAY too many pictures for the three days we were gone, I decided to put our trip into 3 different posts.
The first day we wanted to take the kids to Temple Square. We always show pictures of the Salt Lake temple to the kids and they each have a picture of it in there room so Olivia was pretty excited to see it. She was also excited to see all the pretty brides walking around. She would point out everyone and have to watch as she walked by. Olivia and Callen were both pretty entertained looking at all the stuff in the visitors' center. And Carson was happy to just lay around and smile at us.
I think they really liked Temple Square because they could just run around and be outside, even though it was about 92 degrees. We picked a hot day to be outside.
It was so nice to show the kids the temple and they really liked it. The water features and pretty flowers were a hit too. Olivia even told us on the way out "that was a lot of fun, we'll have to come back here." I hope she does.
