Big Boy Bed

With Carson a little less than 6 weeks away, we decided we should get Callen a big boy bed. I don't expect him to be sleeping in it at nights by the time Carson is born but we didn't want even more change for Callen after Carson comes. Casey and I both think that Callen is going to have a bit of trouble adjusting to a new baby because he is such a momma's boy now. Adding jealousy of putting that new baby that Mommy always has to hold in his crib is something we are trying to avoid.

He was SO excited when we put the bed in his room. Him and Olivia are always playing together on her bed so he knew exactly what to do. And he has actually been sleeping in it better than I thought. We set it up on Saturday and didn't try to put him in it until the next day for nap time. So I laid him down in it on Sunday and he was so excited. But about 10 minutes later he came walking out of his room with a big smile for us. I ended up laying down with him (and took a little nap too) but as soon as I left his bed he woke up and came to find me. So he ended back up in his crib for the rest of his nap.

Then yesterday, I put him in his bed boy bed for nap time and HE SLEPT THE WHOLE TIME!!!! Whoo-hoo!! I know we are not in the clear yet (especially since he JUST walked out here when he is suppose to be laying down, little turkey) but I was so excited! We have a long way but maybe, just maybe, by the time Carson is ready to be in the crib Callen will be okay with letting him.
