2 year check up

This little cutie FINALLY got in for her 2 year check up on November 9th (we were only 3 1/2 months late). Here are her stats:

Weight: 33 pounds (93th percentile)
Height: 37 1/2 inches (96th percentile)
Head Circumference: cm (27th percentile)

I was a little worried about Lou getting her immunizations now that she is a bit older but she did okay. She did cry pretty hard when the nurse gave them to her but the combination of Grandma there (thank goodness, a life saver for mommy!) and a Loony Toon band-aid she was alright. She never gets sick from her immunizations and these ones were no different so that was a relief. As you can see, my sweet little girl is not all that little. She not only talks and acts like a 3 year old but she is the size of one too. Sad, why can't she just stay little forever??

Olivia at 2 years and 4 months is busy, busy, busy but also fun, fun, and FUN! Like I said, she talks really well. The doctor was asking his normal questions and asked how many words she says. I said "Um... I don't know, a lot." I know dumb answer. He then asks "Is she saying at least 50 and putting 3-4 words together?" My mom and I actually started laughing because she easily knows a few hundred words and can sing a dozen songs. He then said, "Yeah, I can understand everything she is saying, she does talk really well."

Some other fun things about my baby girl:
~
She can count to 30 but usually will skip 15
~
Has recently developed a love for Lady and the Tramp. It is the only movie she has ever sat and watched. She now sings along with the songs and says some of the lines with them. It kind of makes me happy because it was my favorite when I was little too and would do the same things.
~
Says the cutest, sweetest prayers, which usually include blessing the puppies and rat from Lady and the Tramp
~
Calls her Backyardigan stuffed toys her "best buddies" (Lou: "Mom, do you know where my best buddies are?")
~
Loves to sing, some of her favorites include "Take Me Out to the Ballgame," "I am a Child of God," "Itsy Bitsy Spider," "I Hope They Call Me on a Mission," "My Hands Upon my Head," "If You're Happy and You Know It," "Popcorn Popping on the Apricot Tree," and many little songs from the Backyardigans
~
Loves to color and draw. She recently began drawing the bugs from Miss Spider's Sunny Patch. So they are really just a bunch of circles but she knows who she is drawing so that is all that counts!
~
Knows her colors and shapes
~
Loves to do puzzles, I don't like these so much because I always have little puzzle pieces everywhere!
~
Still absolutely adores her grandparents and loves to call them and ask them if she can go to there house.
~
When someone aske her "How did you get so cute?" Olivia now responds "Cuz I look kinda like my Grandma." Hmmm.... wonder who taught her that one?
~
Is really starting to enjoy Callen. If she hears him fuss at all she will run over with a binky or blanket. She also loves to have him watch her, which is great because he enjoys watching her too. One of my favorite things is when she goes up to him and says "Hi Cal! Hi Cal!"
~
She has still not mastered the potty bit but we are still working on it. Will it never end?
~
Is the best Mommy to her little babies and will wrap them up in blankets, carry them ever so carefully, change their bums, and every once in awhile nurse them. She has also named a few of her babies, one being Baby Beatrice and the other Cliff. These were named on her own by the way.

Something else exciting for my sweet Lou Lou is she got her first real haircut!! My friend Dana cut it and it looks cute. Olivia was a little nervous as you can see in the picture. I ended up having her sit on my lap while Dana cut it. Dana mostly just cut the back so we could try to get away from the ice hockey mullet look!!

Finished product. I was happy to see she still had some curls!!!
