or how she likes to refer to herself... Spinner.
Spinner is a little yellow spider with glasses that my daughter insists on being. Olivia's imagination has really began to develop and I think it is SO FUN!! She loves to pretend to be different things all the time, sometimes she is a gecko (I know, random), sometimes a frog, but usually she is Spinner. Spinner is off of a cartoon called Miss Spider's Sunny Patch Friends. It is a cute little show that has become her new favorite. Olivia has also assigned our whole family to be buggies.

So this would be a family picture...Papa Kelly (Shimmer; the pink jewel beetle),
Aunt KJ (Snowdrop; the orange spider with green bow),
Daddy (Holley; the daddy spider, big spider with glasses),
Grandma Terri (Bounce; the blue bed bug),
Olivia (Spinner),
Mommy (Miss Spider or yellow; the mommy spider, the HUGE yellow spider, is she trying to tell me something??),
Uncle Brandon (Wiggle; the blue spider),
Papa Randy (Squirt; the green spider),
Grandma Julie (Pansy; the orange spider with the pink bow),
Callen (Dragon; the purple dragonfly).
She not only has assigned each of us a buggy, but calls us by our buggy name.
She will go up to Callen and say "Hi Dragon!"
Or will ask if she can go to Squirt and Bounce's house.
Or ask me where Holley is and when he will be home from work.
Or tell her Papa "come on Squirt, come play with Spinner."
Or yell up from my parent's basement "Yellow!! Holley!! Bounce!! Come look at Spinner!"
If I say to her "Olivia will you..." she will look at me and say "No, I'm Spinner."
One day outsitde, she was walking up to my Dad and he asked "Who's that little girl coming?" She responded "It's Spinner!"
One of the funnies things about this buggy business is that whenever Spinner is on the show, which isn't a lot, she freaks out and will either shout "There I am! There's Spinner!" or put her hands over her heart like a love struck girl and say "Oh Spinner" every so sweet. Should I be concerned that my daughter may have a crush on an eight-legged creepy crawly bug? Nah.

That is so cute!
I LOVE kids' imaginations- and let her hold on to hers as long as possible.
My kids are still young and they have good imaginations. But lots of their friends are used to being "hooked up" to video games. And you can really see the difference.
She is soo cute!! Imagination is a GREAT thing!! Impressive for sure!!
