One little monkey jumping in her bed...

Now that Olivia is able to stand up against things, this is usually how I find her in the mornings and she wakes up from her naps. She doesn't cry when she wakes up so I usually know she is up because I can hear her gabbering and jumping through the monitor. And she thinks she is pretty neat as she is jumping!!!


We had a BBQ the other day with a couple of friends. We always say we are going to have one so it was nice that we actually did. One of our friends, Kaylee, made an AMAZING dessert. It was a strawberry pound cake trifle and it was so good!! In case you don't know what that is, I found a picture online, doesn't it look delicious?? And hers actually looked BETTER than this! We decided that Kaylee was permanently in charge of dessert.

This is Olivia and Abby, our friends Casey and Mallory's little girl. These two are destined to be friends!! Abby is four months younger than Livie but puts Livie to shame in the size department. Abby might be a chunky monkey but she is a dang CUTE chunky monkey. You can say one word to that little girl and she is all smiles and giggles. So I had a ton of pictures of Abby looking ever so cute with big smiles and my daughter just staring at me. Not one smile. Oh well.


She might not smile for me but I can still get pictures of those pretty eyes!!!

Little Beggers

Now that Olivia is able to get herself around, we now have TWO little beggers every time we eat...
but how can you resist such an adorable face??Well, not too much has been going on at our little house. School is out so that is great but poor Casey is taking summer school. It is only one class two days a week so it shouldn't be too bad but it's still school...in the summer...not fun. Olivia is is going and going and going these days. She still crawls around like a goof ball but now she does it incredibly fast!! She is also pulling herself up on EVERYTHING, I don't think it will be too much longer until she is walking. Crazy, crazy. Casey is playing softball again this year but we haven't been able to go to any of his games yet. Hopefully within the next couple of weeks we will be able to go!!

Olivia now thinks my toothbrush is her toy (but what isn't her toy?). She likes to help me brush my teeth in the morning and then go around sucking on my toothbrush. Oh well!

3/4 of a year!

I can't believe my little girl is 9 months old today!!! 3/4 of a year!!! Where has the time went?? Soon she will be 1!!! My little baby is growing up. She is so much fun though. Yes, she keeps us moving all day, but it's good for us, right? We absolutely love our little Livie and her funny little personality. Here are some tidbits about Liv and what she is doing at 9 months...

• loves to give loves to stuffed animals and Dexter
• thinks it is HILARIOUS when Mommy snaps her fingers and tries to do it too!
• LOVES LOVES LOVES books and will sit and look at them and read to herself
• enjoys jumping in her jumper
• very much DISLIKES being on her tummy and likes how she has figured out how to get up off it
• has the biggest, prettiest, blue eyes
• still has NO teeth
• loves to play patty cake, and will clap, roll it, and throw it away (it's pretty dang cute to watch!)
• LOVES her puppy Dexter; she shares her toys and he will share his and likes to pull his tail, feet (sometimes patty cake with them), face, and once his man parts (ouch!), and he takes it!! He's such a good boy
• will give you bites of her food or her toys if you say "can I have some?"
• is crawling!! A very nontraditional way but still crawling!
  
• loves being outside
• gets excited whenever she sees any kind of dog
• enjoys sucking the water out of the washcloth during bath time (I make sure it's clean)
• will "argue" with her daddy
• loves her grandparents (and will sometimes go to them over her Mommy!)
• is quite the pooping queen and has frequent blowouts!
• likes to "type" on the computer keyboard, we open a blank document and let her have at it)
• has 2 grandmas, 2 grandpas, 2 great grandmas, 1 great grandpa, 1 great great grandma, 2 aunts, 2 uncles, and 2 cousins
• still LOVES to suck her thumb
• still a happy, funny, and good natured little girl!! We love you Livie!!
  

And We're Crawling!!

Yes it is true, Miss Olivia Chaliese has joined the world of crawling babies! She started crawling Easter night. It was funny because I was videotaping Easter morning and saying that she still wasn't crawling. Then when we got home from Easter dinner, I put her on the floor and she just started going!! She is not a traditional crawling.....she has one leg down like a normal crawl but with the other one she keeps it so her foot is flat on the ground. It is pretty funny to watch but she can still get a moving!!! So now I do not have only Dexter chasing me around and eating the little pieces of dog food out of my sweeping pile but I have Olivia trying to too!!! Oh, what a joy!


Olivia Easter morning, I think next year the Easter bunny will have to be a little more generous!!! (And maybe not fill the Easter baskets at 9 in the morning!)
Dexter was running around the house the other day with a binkie in his mouth! It was the funniest thing!!! Good thing Livie doesn't use them anymore!
