August Roundup

August came and went.  Lots of fun, lots of changes but we still had a good time.

We started the month  with the ShoBan Indian festival.  The kids had more fun than I thought they would and Olivia would have stayed and watched the dancing all night if we had let her.  Every time she would see one of the dancers walking around you would think she was seeing a celebrity or something.  She would poke me and say "Mom, look!" So cute. I always love to go to the festival, watch some dancing and eat yummy frybread!

We were able to visit Bear Lake and get lots of kisses from Duke, Sugar, and Macy.  And I'm sure from Grandma Julie too.

On August 11th Carson had a bit of an accident in Nursery.  He decided to take on a door hinge and lost.  We ended up taking him into an urgent care because we thought he needed stitches.  The doctor was able to kind of glue it and butterfly stitch it together thank goodness.  Our crazy Car-Car, I am surprised this is his first big injury.

Who knew one pudding pack could make such a huge mess?!?!

While the kids were at a Primary activity, Carson got some one on one time with Dad at Mckee's.  It is always nice to have some time with just one kid.  It seems they both enjoyed it.

We savored the last days of summer by playing outside as much as possible and prepared for Miss Olivia to start school in September.  I can't believe my little girl is starting Kindergarten soon.  So weird.

The biggest change in August was that Casey was called to serve in the Bishopric on August 18th.  He is now serving as 2nd Counsler to the Bishop.  It has been some adjustment for us but we will be fine.  Sunday Sacrament meetings are a bit difficult but luckily the Bishop's wife is amazing a lets us sit with her and her kids every Sunday.  I even think the kids are starting to like Marlow better than me! And I KNOW she packs better treats for them than I do.

Oh Casey is in the bishopric! I bet that he is great there and luckily he has a great wife to stand beside him. I do not envy you Kristi. :)
