Preschool Valentine's party

Olivia is in preschool this year and has made some really nice friends there.  In October, she was invited to a birthday party for one of the kids and ever since then she has been pretty set on having a party too.  Since her birthday is in the summer, I told her she could have a Valentine's party instead.  So since October she had been waiting patiently for a Valentine's party.

The day finally arrived and I think she had a lot of fun.  We had about 5 kids from her preschool or church class come and (of course) Emrie, so counting my kids and younger siblings that stayed to play we had 12 kids. The kids made crowns to wear, did a heart scavenger hunt and letter matching, colored, ate pizza, painted heart butterflies with their feet, played pinned the arrow on the heart, frosted sugar cookies, and PLAYED, PLAYED, and PLAYED.

It was a lot of work for Mom (and of course Grandma got roped into it) but Olivia had a lot of fun and it was really fun to be able to see her interact with friends, so I guess it was worth it.   She is already talking about her next Valentine's party so apparently it was a success!!
