Sensory Safari

Last week, our library had a fun little activity going on... Sensory Safari. They had all these stuffed (is that the right terminology??) animals all over and the coolest part is that you could actually touch them! I mean, come on, how often do you get to feel a lion or pet a zebra or touch a Nile crocodile?? I guess they do this for kids that are blind or have disabilities so they are able to experience animals when otherwise they would not be able to. They travel to school and libraries all over Idaho. Pretty cool.

Olivia LOVES animals so this was right up her ally. She petted each animal at least a dozen times. We actually went twice. The first time it was just the kids and me and it was so neat that we had to drag Daddy, Grandma, and Grandpa back with us. And both times we left she had to go to each animal to tell give it a hug and tell it goodbye. She is adorable. Callen just giggled when we would have him pet one of the animals. Silly boy.

Even though it doesn't look like it, she was pretty excited to see "Simba."
