We also used the stroller at the zoo. We don't use a stroller very often because Olivia is very active and likes to walk, or really run, every where but we decided to take it in case she got tired. But she loved riding in it!! It is nice because she is big enough now that she can get herself in and out of it. It was really a highlight of the trip for her.
Another highlight that she talks about all the time is petting the baby goat. They have a little petting area at the zoo that has some really big goats, sheep, and a few baby goats. I was a little hesitant to take her in there, especially after I asked the worker if it was safe and he answered "um... I guess so, people usually only get hurt when they are feeding them." Not too reassuring for an overly protective mother like myself. So needless to say we stayed away from the bigger ones with horns and DID NOT feed them. Or be around people who were feeding them. I really am overprotective but that's a good thing, right? She really liked the little baby goat. It was pretty cute, until it started chewing on my jacket and hair. I didn't think Olivia knew it was doing that but later during breakfast one day, when she was telling me about all the animals again, she said "I pet baby goat! Baby goat ate Mommy's hair!" It made me laugh.
I guess we will have to go the zoo again since she had so much fun. Next time I want to make it Hogle Zoo and see elephants and giraffes. Olivia would like that. Mommy might enjoy it a bit too!
